Dr. Karim combines extensive medical training with a dedication to community health. He completed his medical degree at Dhaka Medical College, and went on to earn a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. He finished his Internal Medicine residency training at University of Arizona in 2010, and put down roots in North Carolina the same year. His career spans roles as a hospitalist and primary care physician at Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Hospital and Cape Fear Valley Hospital, followed by leadership as medical director of home-based primary care for the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Hospital. Since 2015, Dr. Karim has served as the Medical Director of LifeLink Medical Group, where he's devoted to serving the patient community of Harnett County and the surrounding populations.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Karim enjoys family life with his wife, Dr. Zakiya, their two children, and their two adorable dogs.
